What are the side effects of Chrysanthemum Tea?

In the “Food Microlipid Ranking List” published by the World Health Organization at the end of 2008, tea lipids were called the best microlipids in the world. Green Tea, Black Tea, and oolong tea were all included, but Chrysanthemum tea was not.

Research shows that the microlipids in chrysanthemum tea may cause a feeling of coldness in the body and reduce immunity. According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), some teas have a heat-clearing and detoxifying nature and should be consumed during colds or infections. Drinking too much of these teas regularly can lead to an increasingly cold constitution. Chrysanthemum tea is considered cold in nature and may not be suitable for individuals with a “yang deficiency” constitution as defined by TCM, thus it should not be consumed in large quantities over long periods.
