Wuyi Black Tea brewing and Tasting Utensils

1. Scope
This document specifies the terminology and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils. This document applies to the Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils as defined in 3.1.

3. Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions established in GB/T 5000, GB/T 9987, DB35T 1228, DB35/T 1546, as well as the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Wuyi Black Tea Brewing and Tasting Utensils
White glazed porcelain and glass utensils specifically designed for brewing and tasting Wuyi black tea.
3.2 Brewing Container
The main components of the brewing container for Wuyi black tea include a covered bowl and a Teapot, either one of which can be used.
3.2.1 Covered Bowl
A primary component of the Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils, specifically designed for brewing and tasting.
3.2.2 Teapot
A primary component of the Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils, optional, specifically designed for brewing and tasting.
3.3 Tea Sea (Tea Jug)
A primary component of the Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils, specifically designed for evening out the tea infusion concentration and distributing the tea.
3.4 Tasting Cup
A primary component of the Wuyi black tea brewing and tasting utensils, specifically designed for tasting.
4. Technical Requirements
4.1 Water Absorption
The water absorption of the product shall not exceed 0.5%.
4.2 Thermal Shock Resistance
The product shall withstand a thermal shock from 180°C to 20°C without cracking.
4.3 Lead and Cadmium Migration
The lead and cadmium migration levels shall comply with the provisions of GB 4806.4.
4.4 Product Specifications
4.4.1 Covered Bowl Capacity and Main Dimensions
Ceramic material, capacity 130 ml, the covered bowl is bell-shaped, height 51.48 mm, outer diameter at the top 88.34 mm; lid outer diameter 71.5 mm, tray outer diameter 88.34 mm, shape and dimensions as shown in the figure below, units in millimeters (mm).
4.4.2 Teapot Capacity and Main Dimensions
Ceramic material, capacity 150 ml, gourd-shaped, height 85.40 mm, outer diameter at the top 50.00 mm; lid outer diameter 50.00 mm, shape and dimensions as shown in the figure below, units in millimeters (mm).
4.4.3 Tea Sea (Tea Jug) Capacity and Main Dimensions
glass material, capacity 300 ml, height 88.8 mm, outer diameter at the top 80.6 mm, shape and dimensions as shown in the figure below, units in millimeters (mm).
4.4.4 Tasting Cup Capacity and Main Dimensions
Ceramic material, capacity 30 ml, bell-shaped, height 28.64 mm, outer diameter at the top 49.42 mm, shape and dimensions as shown in the figure below, units in millimeters (mm).
4.4.5 Diameter Error
Diameter error ±1.5%.
4.4.6 Height Error
Height error ±3.0%.
4.5 Performance in Use
The covered bowl and tea sea (tea jug) should pour smoothly, and after pouring, there should be no dripping from the spout.
4.6 Appearance Quality
4.6.1 The color combination shall comply with the provisions of neutral colors in GB/T 15608, requiring N ≥ 9.5, consistent in size, thickness, and color.
4.6.2 The product shall not have defects such as crazing, chipping, cracking, or leakage.
4.6.3 The product placed on a flat surface shall be stable.
4.6.4 The lid of the product shall fit the opening basically.
4.6.5 The appearance defects of the product shall meet the requirements specified in Table 1, with no more than four types of defects per piece.
