Fifth China Tea Tourism Conference
was held at Rizhao Port, Shandong Province
as one of the most influential national events in the industry,
this year marked the first time it was hosted in a northern tea region.
This selection demonstrated significant recognition of Rizhao Port's BiBo Tea.
Rizhao Port's BiBo Tea, as one of the exhibitors, delivered an impressive “Rizhao BiBo Melody” tea ceremony performance at the event. Many tea enthusiasts visited the booth and praised the high-quality and great-tasting BiBo tea. During the conference exchanges, BiBo Tea engaged in in-depth discussions with peers from across the country, contributing to market expansion and the integrated development of tea tourism and culture.
Since the integrated reform and development of Shandong Ports, Rizhao Port has been deeply involved in the tea industry, operating across the entire business and supply chain from tea garden to teacup, creating a brand with a solid reputation for quality.
From manual plant protection to technology leadership
Since the introduction of southern tea varieties to the north, Rizhao's unique coastal climate has endowed BiBo green tea with distinctive characteristics: thick leaves, rich flavor, yellow-green liquor, and a chestnut aroma. In collaboration with the Rizhao Tea Research Institute, Rizhao Port successfully cultivated the “LuTea 1” and “LuTea 2” varieties and introduced the national superior tea variety “Longjing 43.” The company participated in the formulation of eight group standards for Rizhao green and black teas and pioneered green organic control and smart management using drones in northern tea gardens. It has been recognized as a “National Non-Polluting Green Tea Standardization Demonstration Zone” and a “National Superior Tea Variety Demonstration Garden.”
From “single green tea” to “colorful BiBo”
Rizhao Port has deepened its full supply chain system for the tea industry, developing a product supply system featuring green and black teas, along with white and dark teas. Three large standardized tea production workshops have been constructed, and four production lines introduced. Adhering to ISO9001 and 22000 quality management system standards, the company implements comprehensive quality management throughout the production process. By refining traditional processes, a unique BiBo green Tea processing procedure has been developed, ensuring that consumers enjoy their tea with confidence and pleasure.
From “tea-tourism integration” to “turning green into gold”
This year, Rizhao Port has been developing multiple premium tourism routes, including port-themed red tourism, industrial tours, family-friendly tea Village tours, and tea integrity culture tours. The BiBo Tea House and BiBo Tea culture Academy have organized various tea-related activities, attracting approximately 100,000 visitors online and offline. This has led to new models of integrated tea-tourism development, such as “tea + tourism” and “tea + education,” bringing renewed vitality to the industry by expanding from a single leaf to multiple sectors.
