“Every household grows tea, and we rely entirely on tea for our daily expenses.” This is a true depiction of life in Huilong Village. “As a daughter of the tea mountain, my connection with tea began at a young age. I used to follow my parents around as they picked, processed, and sold tea. Now, my husband and I manage over 60 mu of premium ecological tea gardens. Not only do we grow and process tea, but we also run a guesthouse on the mountain and serve Huilong feasts,” says villager Yin Liming, her face filled with happiness when talking about her story with tea.

In the past, villagers in Huilong Village only harvested Spring Tea and produced Green Tea, which was costly, resulted in significant waste, and had limited sales. Nowadays, after adjusting their product structure, Huilong Tea now flourishes during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. Green tea, black tea, floral tea, White Tea, and other varieties have all developed. “The autumn tea here has excellent yield and quality, and it maintains much of its aroma throughout the growing, picking, and processing phases, making it very popular in the market,” says Duan Yunxiu, a leading figure in the village's prosperity.
