In order to further clarify our city's development strategy for the Tea industry, accelerate its high-quality growth, and leverage its role in agricultural industrialization and rural revitalization, from August 11th to 14th, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau organized a delegation of 13 people, including the main leaders of tea administration departments from Shangyou and Xingguo, as well as representatives from tea enterprises, to visit Ningde City, the “City of Mountains and Sea,” to learn about successful practices in the tea industry.
The delegation held discussions with representatives from the Tea Industry Development Center of Ningde City and Fuding City, the Tea Association, the Tea culture Research Society, and local tea enterprises. During the meeting, Li Hui, a third-level inspector at the Ningde Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau and head of the Tea Industry Development Center, summarized the reasons for the high-quality development of the Fuding White Tea industry from four aspects: “high-level promotion, sustained efforts, corporate unity, and quality management.” The head of the Fuding City Tea Industry Development Center introduced the development of the Fuding white tea industry and shared experiences in areas such as standardized production and processing, digital traceability, and brand-oriented operations. Members of the delegation actively participated in the discussion, asking questions humbly, and through observing the Fuding White Tea Big Data Traceability Platform, gained a comprehensive understanding of intelligent management of tea bases, product processing, quality control, and market transactions.
The delegation visited Guofeng (Fujian) Agricultural Investment Co., Ltd., Shunmingdao Tea Co., Ltd., Pinpinxiang White Tea Industrial Park, the Jiangmei High-Standard Ecological Tea Garden Base in Nodding Town, the Chinese White Tea Core Production Area Fresh Tea Market (Nodding Town), the Six Wonders White Tea Museum, and the Lvxueya White Tea Estate, among other places. They focused on learning about the integrated development of tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology in Fuding City, as well as the success stories of leading enterprises. Through this visit, the members of the delegation felt the charm of Fuding's tea culture, the prosperity of its tea industry, and the application of tea technology, and acknowledged that they had identified gaps, broadened their horizons, and gained new insights.
Sun Hui, Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, carefully listened to the report from the delegation regarding their observations and learnings, and expressed that the Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Center and counties (cities, districts) should earnestly learn from the successful experiences of the tea industry development in Ningde City. He emphasized the need to implement the work deployment requirements of the municipal Party committee and government regarding accelerating the high-quality development of Gan Nan High-mountain tea, adhere to a green development direction, strengthen quality control, increase promotional efforts, establish brand awareness, optimize marketing and distribution environments, integrate tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology, continuously “fill, strengthen, and extend” the industrial chain, and work together to promote the growth and excellence of the Gan Nan high-mountain tea industry.
