1. Prepare the Teaware

Teaware: White porcelain Gaiwan (110 ml), pitcher, tea cups, Tea strainer, tea towel, tea needle.

Steeping Time: About 5 to 10 seconds

Quantity of Tea: 1 piece

2. Add the Tea

The ideal amount of Orange Pu'er tea per brew is one piece. Remove the top cover of the Orange Pu'er tea and use a tea spoon or tea tongs to place it into the gaiwan.

3. Rinse the Tea

Raise the kettle with boiling water but not too high, pour the water directly onto the center of the orange, ensuring the water column hits the ripe Pu'er inside the orange. After filling the gaiwan with water, close the lid and discard the rinse.

This is the rinsing step, and the rinse is not consumed.

4. Steep the Tea

Pour water again, using a quick pour and a quick pour-out; the steeping time should be around 5 to 10 seconds. For subsequent infusions, increase the steeping time by about 5 seconds for each additional infusion.

Those who prefer different levels of strength may adjust the steeping time accordingly.
