He Yixin is not only a seasoned committee member serving his third term but also an experienced tea expert. During the interview, the good news came that He Yixin had been honored with the “Excellence in Duty Performance Award for National Committee Members.” He Yixin stated that he would continue to work diligently to serve the country and fulfill his responsibilities to the people, living up to the mission and responsibility of being a committee member. To better promote the outstanding traditional Chinese culture worldwide, Committee Member He Yixin suggested promoting global integration and shared development of Tea culture from three aspects.
Firstly, establish international standards for Chinese tea culture and build an international training system for Chinese Tea culture. He said that tea has long been a well-established discipline in China, with planting, processing, brewing, and evaluation all having become specialized academic systems, reaching a high level globally. He called on the state to actively organize the compilation of training materials for international dissemination of Chinese tea culture and to establish international certifications related to Chinese tea categories based on existing vocational education standards in the domestic tea industry, thereby building a standardized and international output system for Chinese tea culture to reach the world.
Secondly, set up global cultural exchange centers for Chinese tea to promote Chinese tea as the most heartwarming cultural calling card of China. In recent years, “tea chats” have frequently appeared in important diplomatic occasions in our country, creating an atmosphere of equality and openness, conveying the cultural charm of China's major-country diplomacy, and demonstrating the inclusive and accommodating spirit of the Chinese nation, which values harmony and embraces diversity. He hopes that the state will quickly establish cultural experience centers for Chinese tea around the world, using “tea” as a starting point to convey peaceful, inclusive, civilized, and green cultural values to the whole world through a cup of tea. Let Chinese tea become an important platform for the world to understand Chinese tea culture, traditional Chinese Etiquette, poetry, calligraphy, music, and chess, becoming a vital window for cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
Thirdly, establish a “Chinese Tea Festival,” creating a grand event for tea culture worldwide. He Yixin said that the United Nations has already established “International Tea Day,” and he recommends combining this with the establishment of a “Chinese Tea Festival” globally. This festival should integrate the excellent traditional Chinese culture deeply with tea, philosophy, etiquette, and customs, showcasing and spreading the charm of China, attracting active participation from tea lovers around the globe, and establishing the cultural recognition of Chinese tea culture within the global tea community.
