The name Xigui

The natural village of Xigui is located on the eastern foot of Mount Bangdong, which reaches 3,429 meters in elevation in Linxiang District. It sits on the western bank of the Lancang River.

It belongs to a typical low-latitude, low-altitude area with high temperatures and humidity, characteristic of a canyon zone.

Cold air descending from the southeast slope of Mount Bangdong collides with the warm, humid air rising from the Lancang River to form dense night and morning rain clouds over Mount Manglu in Xigui. In the early morning hours, one can often see thick clouds covering the mountains of Manglu in Xigui, hence the name “a secret realm hidden in the clouds.” Xigui is renowned for its Tea.

The people of Xigui have developed a rich Tea culture through their long history of growing and Drinking Tea. The unique natural environment has endowed Xigui tea with strong flavor, intense aroma, and a sweet aftertaste.
