The two proprietary Tea plantation bases of Menghai Dayi Group are located in Bada and Bulang Mountain in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. For a long time, the tea produced by these two bases has provided high-quality raw materials for the “Dayi” brand Pu'er tea. Since the establishment of the tea garden bases, the group has set the goal of creating organic ecological tea gardens and producing unpolluted, harmless organic green health food as part of the Dayi tea garden base construction. They have successively passed the national evaluation for the Pu'er tea agricultural planting standardization demonstration zone in Menghai County (Bada base), organic product certification, Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certification, and export inspection and quarantine registration. In addition to these two proprietary raw material bases, closely cooperative bases spread across various tea regions and the crude Tea processing sites and procurement stations scattered throughout towns and villages also serve as important guarantees for the high-quality raw materials of Dayi tea.
The average altitude of the Bada base is 1,700 meters, with a mild climate and abundant rainfall throughout the year. The tea trees grow amidst clouds and mist all day during the growing season, and the tea produced here possesses the qualities of high-altitude tea, with superior “color, aroma, and taste.” It is one of the primary sources of unique raw materials for the “Dayi” Pu'er series products. The characteristics of the tea from this base include good aftertaste, rapid salivation, an orange-yellow and crystal clear liquor, glossy tea leaves, and a pleasant aroma. The Bulang Mountain base is located within the Bulang Mountain Forest Farm, surrounded by tens of kilometers of timber forest and broadleaf forest areas, typical of an ecological tea garden. Within the farm, the forest and tea plants interweave, and there are currently over ten thousand acres of productive tea gardens. The tea produced here has many buds and is robust without pollution, providing a strong guarantee for the quality of “Dayi” Pu'er tea. The tea from Bulang Mountain features quick aftertaste, strong salivation, an orange-yellow and transparent liquor, and unique aromas such as plum fragrance, floral honey fragrance, and Orchid fragrance. It is a sought-after collector's item for many domestic and foreign merchants and Pu'er tea enthusiasts.
