02. Do not place it near oily or dusty areas. After use, it is best to place the lid slightly to the side, rather than always keeping the lid tightly sealed. Do not leave water in the pot for long periods of time; only add water when you are about to Brew tea. It is best to have several good purple clay teapots and use a specific one for a particular type of tea; do not use the same pot for all types of tea, as this can lead to confusion.

Note: Do not use dishwashing detergent or any chemical agents to soak your purple clay teapot, as this will wash away the tea flavor and cause the exterior to lose its luster.
