The tea leaves and infusion left in the teapot overnight, once cooled, become ineffective. If you regularly leave tea leaves and infusion in the teapot overnight, particularly during hot summer days, harmful substances can easily develop inside the teapot. In a purple clay teapot, dark tea stains may accumulate, which over time can be very difficult to clean. This can be quite off-putting and diminish one's desire to drink tea.

The correct way to nourish a teapot is naturally, without much thought. When drinking tea, simply do it as a matter of course, without worrying too much about it.

While brewing tea, pay attention to keeping the teapot body clean, as tea drippings on the teapot can quickly form stains that are hard to remove if not wiped away with a tea cloth promptly. Keep a tea cloth handy near your tea station, and wipe the teapot whenever you notice any tea drippings.

After brewing tea, promptly clean out the teapot, removing the tea dregs, rinsing the teapot, and wiping it dry before placing it back on the tea station, ready for the next brewing session.

With a little patience and time, the patina will form. There's no need to worry about it excessively.
