In the world of Tea ware, Teapots and Teacups are undoubtedly the leading actors and actresses. However, just like in an ordinary movie where there can't be only main characters, there are also many capable “supporting roles” in the realm of tea ware. These supporting roles can be very practical tools or simply decorative pieces. It is these supporting roles that make our tea tables more colorful and our tea lives more refined.
So, follow our lens as we unveil the faces of these supporting roles.
Tea Pourer (Fairness Cup)
The tea pourer, also known as the tea sea or tea bowl, is a tool used for dividing tea. After the tea leaves have been steeped, the tea liquor is poured into the tea pourer to even out the strength of the tea. It is then distributed evenly among guests, ensuring each cup has the same concentration, symbolizing equality.

Aroma Cup
The aroma cup, as its name suggests, is a cup primarily made of porcelain used for appreciating the fragrance of the tea. It is especially common when brewing fragrant Oolong teas.

Tea Presentation Dish (Tea Scoop)
The tea presentation dish is a vessel used to hold dry tea leaves before they are steeped. It can also be used for admiring the tea. The shape of the tea presentation dish is typically a half-sphere with a narrow opening, and it is often made of porcelain.

Six Gentlemen of Tea Ceremony
Tea Caddy: A container for holding the tea needle, spoon, strainer, measure, and tongs.
Tea Needle: Primarily used to clear the spout of a Teapot. It prevents blockages from tea residue, making pouring easier, and can also be used to arrange tea leaves.
Tea Spoon: Primarily used to place tea leaves into the brewing vessel or remove tea residue.
Tea Measure: Used for measuring tea leaves, transferring them from the storage container to the presentation dish or brewing vessel.
Tea Strainer: Placed over the mouth of the teapot when adding tea leaves to guide them into the pot and prevent any from falling outside.
Tea Tongs: Can be used to remove tea residue from the teapot and are also commonly used to hold teacups while cleaning, preventing burns and ensuring hygiene.
The Six Gentlemen of Tea Ceremony are typically made of bamboo or wood. Bamboo products exude a refined elegance, while wooden items have a natural texture, complementing the ambiance of tea and incense.

Tea Mat: Used to place tasting cups and aroma cups on. Its purpose is to prevent the tea table from getting wet from tea spills or condensation, and using a saucer to serve tea to guests adds an element of hygiene.

Tea Cloth: Also known as a “tea cloth,” it is made from materials such as hemp or cotton. The primary function of the tea cloth is to dry the teapot. Before pouring tea, it is used to wipe away any excess water from the bottom of the teapot or tea sea, and it can also be used to clean up any tea spills on the table.
Tea Tray: Also known as a tea boat, it is a shallow dish used to hold teapots, teacups, tea ceremony sets, and tea pets. It comes in a wide variety of materials and styles.
