Inclusive Financial Rain Moistens the Tea Country, Bringing Smiles to Tea Farmers

“In the past, what we tea farmers worried about most was funding issues. Expanding cultivation and improving varieties all required money, but loan procedures were complicated, and we didn't know how to apply,” said Old Mr. Zhang, a tea farmer from Jianglong Town, Zhenning County. “Now it's better. The staff from the ICBC Guizhou Anshun Zhenning Branch often come to our Village, teaching us step-by-step how to apply for loans and bringing a series of inclusive financial products. Our funding problems are now solved, and we have even more confidence in growing tea!”

Old Mr. Zhang's words reflect the true effectiveness of the ICBC Guizhou Anshun Zhenning Branch's inclusive finance practices. The bank has always understood that the key to rural revitalization lies in industrial revitalization. As one of the pillar industries in Zhenning County, the high-quality development of the tea industry cannot be separated from strong financial support. To achieve this, the branch formed a professional customer manager team. They traveled through the main tea-producing areas of Jianglong Town, Benzhai Town, Geli Township, and Shaizi Township, traversing country roads and delving into fields, engaging face-to-face with tea farmers, understanding their actual needs, and tailoring financial solutions so that the spring breeze of inclusive finance could reach every corner of the tea country.

Departmental Collaboration Gathers Strength; Financial Services Accurately Drip Irrigate

To better serve the local tea industry, the ICBC Guizhou Anshun Zhenning Branch actively built a new mechanism of cooperation between government, banks, and enterprises, strengthening communication and collaboration with local governments and agricultural and rural affairs bureaus. Through regular joint meetings and sharing client lists, they achieved effective integration and efficient use of information resources. Based on accurate information provided by relevant departments, they implemented “one-on-one” financial service plans for eligible tea enterprises, relying on the bank's specialized financial products such as “Industry Thriving Rural Loan” and “Planting e-Loan.” This effectively addressed the funding issues faced by tea companies in expanding production, upgrading technology, and expanding markets. So far, the ICBC Guizhou Anshun Zhenning Branch has successfully provided credit funds totaling 20.24 million yuan to seven tea enterprises, providing strong financial support for the transformation and upgrading of the tea industry.

In the future, the ICBC Guizhou Anshun Zhenning Branch will continue to strengthen market visits, promptly grasp the development trends of the tea industry, continuously optimize financial products and service models, ensuring that financial services align closely with the needs of the tea industry. At the same time, it will also strengthen cooperation with governments, enterprises, and farmers to build a more complete financial service system, providing a firmer financial guarantee for the sustainable and healthy development of the tea industry.
