N Wei Zongyun, head of Fangying Family Farm in Shiqian County, said, “After June, we no longer pick summer and autumn teas. Instead, we focus on weeding, fertilizing, pruning, and tidying up to ensure a bountiful harvest for next year's Spring Tea.”

The Fangying Family Farm has a tea garden area of approximately 120 mu, and every year from May to August, they conduct summer management of the tea garden to prepare for the following year's spring tea production. With meticulous management, not only can the yield and quality of tea be improved, but it also broadens the channels for people to increase their income.

A resident of Pucaultang Village in Shigu Township, Ms. Gao Wanying, said, “I earn one hundred yuan per day, and I get paid as soon as the work is done. I always come to help him every year, and this year, I've already worked here twice.”

N Wei Zongyun, head of Fangying Family Farm in Shiqian County, said, “We spend over 30,000 yuan on wages once a year, and for two rounds of management, it may cost 50,000 to 60,000 yuan to manage well.”

It is understood that after vigorous growth and multiple pickings in spring, tea trees consume a large amount of nutrients. During the hot summer weather, the soil can easily become compacted, and weeds grow quickly. If neglected or poorly managed, it could lead to abnormal physiological functions in the tea trees. Conducting garden management during summer promotes ventilation and light penetration in the tea garden, which can effectively improve the quality of tea and enhance its benefits, contributing to rural revitalization.
