From August 6 to 8, the Tongcheng City Tea Association organized a three-day training program for high-quality farmers. This training invited several industry experts to teach local farmers and tea industry practitioners, with the aim of comprehensively enhancing their professional competence and skill levels.
The training covered the interpretation of Document No. 1 of the Central Committee in 2024, the Rural Revitalization Promotion Law, and Document No. 1 of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee in 2024, providing detailed explanations of national support policies and future development directions for agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. The experts also conducted professional lectures on tea appraisal and introduced the latest achievements in smart agriculture and digital countryside construction, offering participants new perspectives on modern agricultural development. Additionally, the training addressed geographical indication protection and usage standards, as well as the issue of excessive packaging for tea products. It also educated participants on the proper use of geographical indications to protect and enhance the brand value of Tongcheng Xiaohua tea, and to choose simple and environmentally friendly packaging to avoid unnecessary waste of resources; how to produce high-quality Tongcheng Xiaohua tea, aiming to improve product quality. Wang Bowen, a young entrepreneur from Tongcheng City, shared marketing techniques and management concepts for new agricultural business entities in the tea industry. Vice President Zhu Longwei of the association demonstrated basic tea ceremony knowledge and tea marketing Etiquette, which was greatly beneficial to all attendees.
The training not only focused on theoretical learning but also emphasized practical operations and on-site experiences. Participants in the high-quality farmer tea cultivation program visited the Yangtou Organic Tea Professional Cooperative to gain an in-depth understanding of organic management practices in tea gardens and the standardized production process of Tongcheng Xiaohua tea. Through field visits to the rural industries in Sanxin Village and Shuileng Village, participants gained a more intuitive understanding of industrial development.
The combination of theory and practice in this training allowed participants to systematically learn theoretical knowledge while getting up close and personal with advanced tea production technologies and management experiences. This teaching approach helps transform knowledge into practical operational skills, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities of the entire tea industry in Tongcheng. The Tea Association will carry out follow-up services for cultivating high-quality farmers, aiming to foster a group of high-quality farmers suited for the new era, guiding them to become the backbone force driving the development of the local tea industry, and laying a solid foundation of talent and technology for promoting the development of the rural economy and the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
