Tea News · May 07, 2025

On the morning of August 1st, in the Tea garden of Wengjiashan Village within the first-level protected area for Hangzhou's West Lake Longjing tea, tea farmers were busy watering the tea trees to combat drought. Hangzhou has recently experienced continuous clear and hot weather with temperatures soaring to 40°C. With the westward expansion and strengthening of the subtropical high pressure, the high temperatures will intensify once again. The tea farmers are pumping water to irrigate the tea trees during the evening and early morning to prevent them from suffering due to drought, helping them survive this period of extreme heat.
