It is well known that to brew good tea, one also needs good tea utensils. Therefore, tea utensils have become an indispensable part of our lives. Many tea enthusiasts cherish their tea sets, such as porcelain ones, but when it comes to how to maintain them, they often feel confused and don't know where to start. Here are some correct methods for caring for porcelain tea utensils.

1. After each tea session, be sure to discard the used tea leaves. Then, wash the porcelain tea utensils thoroughly with water, so that the teaware can maintain a bright and glossy appearance.

2. Over time, porcelain tea utensils may develop tea stains from prolonged steeping, which cannot be removed with plain water. In such cases, you can apply a small amount of toothpaste on the porcelain teaware, using your hand or a cotton swab to spread it evenly over the surface. Let it sit for about one minute, then rinse with water. This will easily clean the tea stains.

3. General stains on tea utensils can be cleaned with alkaline water, soap, or laundry detergent, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water.

4. When washing thin-walled porcelain tea utensils in winter, control the water temperature carefully to prevent the teaware from cracking due to sudden temperature changes between hot and cold water.

5. If colored porcelain tea utensils show signs of lead leaching, you can use a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar to wipe the affected areas, then rinse with clean water.

6. If a porcelain tea utensil has cracks or open lines (a type of glaze crack), dirt can easily seep in. In such cases, use a toothbrush dipped in a slightly acidic liquid to scrub the stained areas.
