It is the only tea from Guizhou to be included in the “Top Ten Famous Chinese Teas,” “Top Ten World Expo Teas,” “Top Ten Regional Public Brands of Chinese Tea,” and the “Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the World.” It is a key agricultural industry in Qiannan Prefecture and also the first regional public brand of tea promoted by Guizhou Province.
Dy Maojian tea is characterized by its exposed white down, tightly rolled and finely twisted leaves that resemble fishhooks. Internally, it boasts a long-lasting fragrance, clear and bright infusion, fresh and sweet taste, and bright leaves with plump buds. It is renowned for its distinctive quality features known as “three greens and three yellows”: the dry tea is green with yellow highlights, the infusion is green with a translucent yellow hue, and the infused leaves are green with a yellowish glow.
