Recently, the live streaming team of Guizhou Yanhe Zhouzhou Tea Co., Ltd., has been introducing Yanhe eco-tea to netizens through various e-commerce platforms. Yang Huadong, head of Guizhou Yanhe Zhouzhou Tea Co., Ltd., said, “Since 2025, sales have reached around 11 million yuan, boosting income for 25,800 households in 20 towns (sub-districts) across the county.”

A Millennium of Ancient Tea and Tax Sentiments:

“The company's smooth development wouldn't have been possible without the support and assistance of the tax department,” said Yang Huadong. From tea gardens to tea production workshops and sales, the tax department tailored tax and fee policy packages for the enterprise, ensuring we “knew the benefits, understood the benefits, and enjoyed the benefits” right from the start. In recent years, the company has benefited from over 112,000 yuan in tax and fee incentives, including value-added tax and its surcharges, as well as disability employment security funds, providing strong support for our efforts to upgrade intelligent processing lines.

It is reported that the Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County Tax Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation has implemented the “Strong Village, Prosperous People” three-year action plan, combining the characteristics of the tea industry within Yanhe County and the operating features of tea enterprises. Regular visits are made to tea mountains, tea gardens, and tea companies, with “point-to-point” precise guidance provided to enterprises. Tailored “one enterprise, one policy” assistance plans are formulated, with “tax blue” joining hands with “ancient tea green,” helping “green leaves” transform into “golden leaves” and empowering tea enterprises to increase production and efficiency.

The company has now become a modern Tea processing enterprise, adopting an integrated business model of “company + farmer + farmers' professional cooperative.” Its tea products are sold in markets such as the ‘Yangtze River Delta' in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, and the ‘Pearl River Delta' in Guangdong and Shenzhen, enjoying stable sales channels.

Good news continues to come in, with the company's “Zhouzhou Red · Ancient Tree Black Tea” winning the Three-Star Superior Award at the 2024 China (Shenzhen) International Spring Tea Industry Expo and the Fourth World Green Tea Conference held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center this June.

One thriving sector leads to many more, and the prosperity of the tea industry has not only boosted green industries but also enriched the lives of local residents. Over 1,100 tea farmers near the ten-thousand-mu eco-tea garden in Zhongzhai Town are also beneficiaries of the tax benefits.

“Around the Qingming Festival, it was the critical period for tea harvesting, and we were just worrying about how to issue invoices when the tax department came to our aid, which was a great help,” said Shi Haoguo, chairman of Guizhou Yujin Agricultural Tourism Co., Ltd.

“We are all locals, and the tax officials guided us on how to issue invoices via our phones, very carefully and patiently. Kudos to the tax department. Selling tea leaves brings in almost 100,000 yuan per year, making tea trees a ‘money tree' for the people around here,” said villager Yang Shengqiang.

Currently, Yanhe County has nurtured 86 tea business entities, 56 processing and business entities, seven provincial-level leading enterprises, and 18 SC-certified companies. The county's tea gardens cover 158,100 mu, with 146,100 mu in production, yielding 12,510 tons and generating 1.35 billion yuan in output value, significantly boosting the income of local residents.

From a single leaf to a vast tea industry, history spans a thousand years, yet the fragrance of ancient tea remains unchanged. Moving forward, the Yanhe tax authorities will continue to upgrade service measures, implement beneficial policies for agriculture and businesses, and ensure the implementation of tax and fee incentives, further empowering the high-quality development of the tea industry.
