Puer ripe Tea is suitable for boiling. After a couple of infusions, you can start to boil Puer ripe tea. When boiling Puer ripe tea, it's necessary to pre-wet the tea first, which awakens its inner qualities. When reboiling, retain about half or one-third of the previous infusion in the pot and add boiling water; do not use cold or lukewarm water as this can make the tea too strong.

Is Puer Ripe Tea Better Boiled or Steeped?

Puer ripe tea tastes better when boiled. When Steeping Puer ripe tea, the liquor can become bitter and astringent, but boiling avoids this bitterness, making the liquor richer and smoother.

Puer ripe tea can be enjoyed either by boiling or steeping, each method having its own characteristics. When boiling Puer ripe tea, pre-wetting the tea is essential to awaken its essence. Retain about half or one-third of the liquor when reboiling, and repeat this process up to three to four times. Always add boiling water, never cold or lukewarm water, to avoid overpowering the tea.

The Method of Boiling Puer Ripe Tea:

Pre-wetting the tea. Place 5 grams of Puer ripe tea in a ceramic Teapot and pour 90-degree Celsius water over it. After 5 seconds, discard the water.

Boiling the tea. Refill the pot with 90-degree Celsius water, cover, and let it sit for one minute before pouring the tea into a pitcher.

Tasting. Pour the tea from the pitcher into tasting cups and enjoy the flavor of the Puer ripe tea.
