From May 24 to 25, during the Mengla Tribute Tea Culture Festival and the 12th Tea Competition, an activity titled “Influencers Guide You Through the Ancient Six Great Tea Mountains” was launched by the Cyberspace Administration of the County Party Committee and the County Culture, Tourism, and Radio Bureau. Internet influencers experienced the superior ecology of Mengla's Yiwu and Xiangming areas firsthand and felt the profound heritage of Tea culture. They recommended tours of the ancient six great tea mountains to help promote the integrated development of tea tourism in Mengla County.
On the morning of the 24th,
the convoy traveled along winding roads for two hours before
a group of 13 internet influencers from across the country
arrived at their first destination on the tea mountain tour — Kongming Mountain.
Amid drizzling rain, at the summit of Kongming Mountain,
the statue of Zhuge Liang was barely visible.
After climbing to the top of the mountain,
the statue of Kongming appeared before them.
Near the altar,
the group learned about the origins and historical deeds of the statue of Kongming
from the Village cadres.
The distant legends and tumultuous history
seemed to brush over
each one of them like a gentle breeze.
When the rain cleared up, the group proceeded to Gedeng Ancient Tea Mountain. Led by village cadres, they embarked on a journey through Gedeng, seeking the traces of the ancestral tea sanctuary. As they reached halfway up the mountain, the hiking group stretched out slowly, gradually blending into the ancient tea forest. They then headed to Mangzhi Mountain in search of Mangzhi. After walking among the tea trees for some time, they came upon the Mangzhi Tea King Tree. Everyone pulled out their phones, cameras, and drones to capture this ancient tree that had endured the test of time, marveling at the power of life.
On the 25th, the influencers visited the old street of Yibang, searching for past glory. The cobblestones with historical traces piled up on the old street of Yibang could attest to the former glory of the six great tea mountains and narrate the vicissitudes of the past. In the Yibang Village Tea Culture Exhibition Hall, the influencers were moved by the numerous precious steles, plaques, and other cultural relics preserved within. Despite the ravages of nature, these relics have survived to this day.
Over the course of two days,
the influencers successively visited
Kongming Mountain, Gedeng, Mangzhi, Manzhuan, Yibang,
and Beiyin Mountain, among others.

Zhang Ziyang, founder of Shopkeeper Says and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Tea Culture Promotion Association:
I had already visited Mengla last month, but this time, traveling the six mountains with fellow influencers was a completely different experience. This time, we had a planned itinerary and explored each mountain based on its unique characteristics. Each mountain gave us a different feeling. I believe that connecting these experiences is particularly good. We not only went to the tea mountains but also had professional guides explain the history of Mengla tea.
In addition to visiting ancient tea gardens, we also went to museums and walked the ancient tea-horse trail. Throughout our journey, we had a wonderful experience. Besides allowing us to experience the authentic flavors of each tea mountain, we were able to gain a deep understanding of their history and culture. This was a completely different experience compared to previous mountain explorations. I think Mengla tea is perfect for learning more about this tribute tea through a tour of the six mountains. Mengla tribute tea truly embodies the concept of “one mountain, one flavor.” Its flavor is more delicate and refined than other mountains, especially its taste sensation, which is very appealing to young tea enthusiasts due to its less intense bitterness. I welcome everyone who loves Pu'er tea to come to Mengla, just as we did, to immerse yourselves deeply in the six mountains and together feel the charm of Pu'er tribute tea, truly experiencing the flavor of Mengla tribute tea.
Xu Huangtao, National Champion of the Second Season of Hunan TV's “Most Beautiful Tea Artiste”:
After this three-day tea mountain tour, I gained a deeper appreciation of the unique features of Mengla's mountains and waters. As a person from Fujian, I was profoundly struck by the depth of these mountains and the vastness of the great mountains here. Another aspect was the ecological environment of the tea trees and the local tea farmers' dedication passed down through generations, which I could hear and feel in the flavor of the tea. For me, this three-day route was both meaningful and not overly challenging. It allowed me to walk into the ancient six great tea mountains within three days, exploring their historical context and discovering the different flavors of various production areas. This was a very meaningful experience. Therefore, if you are a tea lover with three days free, I invite you to follow this route and explore the historical path of the ancient tea
