Visit to the Huangshan District Tea Association
On the morning of June 28, 2025, a delegation of four from the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association visited the Huangshan District Tea Association to conduct research on the tea industry. Mr. Huang Conference, Director of the Huangshan District Tea Industry Promotion Center, Mr. Fang Jifan, President of the Huangshan District Tea Association, Secretary-General Zhang Shenyu, Vice President and Office Director Xu Leping, among others, accompanied them.
The delegation from the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association visited the Huangshan Monkey Pit Tea Co., Ltd. and the “Monkey Pit Tea culture Building,” which is also the Taiping Monkey King tea museum. Mr. Wu Xi, the office director of the Monkey Pit Tea Company, provided detailed introductions about the growing environment of the Taiping Monkey King tea, its genetic resources, historical and cultural background, company development, and marketing strategies. The Taiping Monkey King Museum features eleven exhibition halls (zones) including a core production area model of Taiping Monkey King tea, the making techniques of Taiping Monkey King tea, ancient Teapots from the Taiping tea region, the history of the Monkey Pit Fang family, the history of Taiping Monkey King tea, the culture of Taiping Monkey King tea, leadership visits, the honors of Monkey Pit, historical products of Monkey Pit, current products of Monkey Pit, tea art performances, and opportunities for tasting and purchasing tea. Through visiting the tea association, the tea company, and the museum, the delegation from the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association gained a basic understanding of the history, making techniques, and current state of the Taiping Monkey King tea, one of China's top ten famous teas.
In a meeting held in the conference room of the Huangshan District Tea Association, President Fang Jifan welcomed the delegation from the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association and expressed his hope that through the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association, the teas and the Taiping Monkey King tea of Huangshan District could be further promoted.
Secretary-General Ni Pingfang of the Huzhou City Tea Trade Association introduced the association's mission, philosophy, specific services, and future prospects in detail. He also discussed the publication status of the two books, “The Geography of the Tea Classic” and “A New Tea Classic.” Furthermore, he officially extended an invitation to the Huangshan District Tea Association, inviting member units to participate in the Second Lu Yu Tea Culture and Tourism Festival to be held in October. At the same time, he proposed resource sharing and cooperation across multiple fields to jointly promote the exchange of tea culture and facilitate tea trade, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
