“Conducting Tea plant pest monitoring”

Boosting the quality and income of ecological tea gardens.

In order to consolidate and enhance the capabilities of pest monitoring, early warning, and integrated pest management for tea plants in Zuodu Village, Xuelin Township, and to promote the improvement of quality and efficiency in ecological tea gardens, on April 25th, Xuelin Township actively initiated work to improve the quality and income of tea. This ensures that planting and picking activities proceed smoothly.

Zuodu Village in Xuelin Township focuses on promoting development through strengthening party building and increasing income through industrial growth, striving to create green, clean, ecological, and harmless tea bases, thereby improving product quality and prices.

Wei Xuejun, Deputy Secretary of the Village Party General Branch, said, “Through several years of management and protection, all tea farmers have signed orders with the company this year. The payment for fresh leaves is directly deposited into the farmers' accounts by the company each quarter, ensuring an increase in their income.”

Going forward, agricultural technicians will regularly investigate and record the numbers of tea green leafhoppers, aphids, and spider mites, gaining a detailed understanding of the occurrence of major pests in the Tea Garden. They will effectively carry out monitoring and early warning work for major tea plant pests to ensure improved quality and efficiency of tea production and contribute to rural revitalization.
