Crossing Management Through Changing Mindsets

Different from the past practice of self-management, self-picking, self-production, and self-marketing, in the ancient tea garden area of Wenling, the owners of the thousand-mu tea gardens lease their land to companies. These companies carry out unified maintenance, management, and picking of the ancient tea gardens. They hire local residents to pick tea leaves categorized by individual trees or large trees and process and market them accordingly. This management model reduces production costs for tea farmers and increases their income, gradually changing their business methods and concepts. By April this year, the thousand-mu tea garden had brought over 170,000 yuan in labor income to 137 households.

Crossing Production Through Multi-party Cooperation

Guided by driving the development of the tea industry among surrounding residents, Pu'er Zhanfutang Tea Co., Ltd. was introduced. It collaborates with local cooperatives to explore and improve an innovative model of “tea industry + internet + finance + modern logistics,” realizing an integrated production model that includes management, picking, processing, and marketing. This drives the transformation of new agricultural operating entities in Mawan Town towards scale, standardization, and intensive production and operation mechanisms, strengthening the tea economy while promoting adjustments in the local characteristic advantage industrial structure.

Crossing Operations Through Improved Facilities

To better improve efficiency and optimize operational management, and to build the “Wuliang Eight Divisions – Wenling” characteristic brand, Pu'er Zhanfutang Tea Co., Ltd. signed leases for 1,100 mu of tea land from 137 households. It expanded the Tea processing factory by two additional floors, investing over 700,000 yuan in the factory and over 500,000 yuan in equipment. The factory prioritizes solving employment problems for some residents, dispatching professional technical guidance personnel from the company to provide specialized training to local tea farmers and hiring them to work in tea processing production. This not only improves the operational efficiency of the factory but also realizes local employment.
