 Hyperlipidemia - Cassia Seed Tea

Cassia seed is an edible Chinese medicine that has become commonly used among the people. It involves stir-frying raw cassia seeds in a pan until slightly fragrant, then letting them cool before grinding them into coarse powder using a small stone mill or household grinder, storing in a bottle for future use. Take 10-15 grams daily, brew with boiling water as a tea substitute; it has a fragrant coffee-like flavor.


Stroke Sequelae - Chrysanthemum and Bamboo Sap Tea

Use 2-3 grams of chrysanthemum, brew with boiling water. Alternatively, use 5-10 grams of dried tangerine peel, brew tea with boiling water, then add 20 ml of bamboo sap water, and drink. Take twice daily.


Peptic Ulcer - Honey Tea

1.8 liang of honey, 3 qian of raw licorice root, 2 qian of dried tangerine peel, water as needed. First decoct the licorice and tangerine peel, remove the dregs, then mix in the honey. Divide into three doses and take throughout the day.


Fatty Liver - Lotus Leaf, Cassia Seed and Green Tea

Take 10 grams of coarse cassia seed powder, 5 grams of crushed lotus leaf pieces, along with an appropriate amount of green tea leaves, place in a thermos, add boiling water and steep for 20 minutes. Drink frequently as tea throughout the day.


Chronic Dysentery - Pomegranate Peel Tea

Cut 500 grams of pomegranate peel into strips, place in a clay pot, add about 1500 ml of water, boil down to about 800 ml of concentrated liquid, which is the amount for one course of treatment. Take 20 ml after each meal, three times a day, for 7-14 consecutive days.


Chronic Constipation - Angelica and Senna Leaf Tea

Take 10 grams of angelica slices daily, 3-10 grams of senna leaves (can gradually increase the amount), brew with boiling water, drink one cup each in the morning and afternoon. Quite effective for habitual constipation in middle-aged people.


Hemorrhoids - Three-Leaf Tea

Take an appropriate amount of dried pagoda tree leaves daily, 3-5 grams of senna leaves (available at Chinese medicine shops), 3-5 grams of new tea leaves, put them together in a cup, and brew with boiling water for tea.


Yupingfeng Tea - Chronic Nephritis

First, take 600 grams of raw Astragalus (edible Chinese medicine), 200 grams of stir-fried Atractylodes, and 200 grams of Saposhnikovia, dry them in the sun, then put them together in a household grinder to make coarse powder for备用. Use 10-15 grams of the coarse powder daily, put it in a cup, and brew with boiling water as tea.


Systemic Lupus Erythematosus - Three-Flower Tea

Select dried honeysuckle flowers, chrysanthemum flowers, and pagoda tree flowers in equal parts daily, brew with boiling water and drink frequently as tea substitute.


Gout - Honeysuckle Tea

15 grams of dried honeysuckle flowers, 30 grams of dried honeysuckle vine, decoct together in water as a tea substitute, drink frequently throughout the day.
