Yuehong Congou tea is a type of Gongfu black tea produced in Zhejiang Province, originating from Shaoxing, Zhuji, Shengxian, and other counties. Yuehong Congou has tightly thin and straight strips, a dark and glossy color, and a beautiful appearance. Its internal quality features a pure aroma, a bright red but relatively light liquor, and somewhat dark brewed leaves. The pekoe of Yuehong is silver or gray-white. The black tea produced in the Pujiang area has relatively tight and stout strips, a higher aroma, and a stronger taste, while Zhenhai black tea is more tender. Overall, although Yuehong strips are aesthetically pleasing, the leaves are relatively thin, and the fragrance is considered somewhat secondary.
