Anhua Dark Tea Helps You Inhibit Abdominal Fat Accumulation, No More Worrying About a 'Big Belly'

The experiment went like this

Mice were continuously fed a diet with 1% cholesterol for 6 weeks, along with water, green tea, or dark tea. The mice were then dissected to observe the effects on their body weight, abdominal fat (abdominal wall fat), internal organs, and other parts. The results showed almost no significant differences in weight gain or internal organ weight among the groups.

However, the mice that drank dark tea had reduced abdominal fat compared to the others. The abdominal fat of mice drinking water was 8.7 grams, green tea was 7.9 grams, while dark tea was only 5.3 grams. In other words, compared to the mice drinking water, the mice drinking dark tea had over one-third less abdominal fat.

The reason why dark tea has such a strong effect is still unclear, but it is preliminarily believed to be due to components produced during the fermentation process. If you want to use dark tea for weight loss, it is best to drink freshly brewed strong tea.
