Liu Bao Tea, as a specialty of the Lingnan region, embodies the beauty of coexistence in ethnic dietary culture and is an important component of Lingnan culture, fostering communication and integration among people. Wuzhou Tea Factory is a representative enterprise of modern Liu Bao tea production techniques, often referred to as “the cradle of industrial Liu Bao tea in China.” For over 70 years, it has laid a solid foundation for the development of Tea culture in Guangxi, continuously innovating and enriching the content of the “Liu Bao tea culture,” providing not only a gustatory delight for tea enthusiasts but also adding a vibrant stroke to the canvas of Lingnan culture, becoming a pursuit and spiritual support for tea connoisseurs. Brick tea has always been the main product line of Wuzhou Tea Factory, with large bricks being particularly sought after for collection. The 1998 brick is listed among the top-tier collectibles.

Phase One: Fu Brick Stage
The brick tea production at Wuzhou Tea Factory originated with the “Fu Brick Tea” produced in the 1970s, also known as “Aid Tibet Fu Bricks.” In the planned economy era, the state would annually allocate a certain number of instructions to major tea-producing provinces south of the Yangtze River, requiring them to produce Fu bricks according to specific formulas and processes for distribution in Tibet and border regions, to support production and construction there and ensure the tea needs of the local population. The Red Apple and Double Rhombus Fu Bricks produced in the 1970s have become limited-edition treasures, each weighing 2 kilograms. After more than fifty years of aging, these Fu bricks, made from a blend of tender leaves and coarse stems, have reached a slightly “loose and aged” state. Some have developed natural golden flowers, while others have seen the disappearance of these flowers due to changes in environment. They contain visible stalks and differ from modern Liu Bao Tea processing methods, presenting flavors primarily characterized by medicinal, aged, fungal, and woody aromas, which are somewhat monotonous yet highlight their natural, focused, and pure medicinal taste. The Fu Brick Tea from Wuzhou Tea Factory is hailed as the pinnacle of old Chinese Fu bricks and now sells for over 50,000 RMB per brick on the market!

Phase Two: Sanhe-Branded Brick Stage
The Sanhe trademark logo originates from the sculpture of three cranes atop the tea cellar on Zhushan. It was registered as the “He Gang” brand, but due to a conflict with a geographical name, the additional registration of the “Sanhe” trademark created a classic. Although “Sanhe” and “Sanhe-branded” differ by just one character, they are worlds apart in value. From 1996 to 2003, this was an important period for the “Sanhe-branded” products, also witnessing the historical development of trademarks. When registering the trademark, Wuzhou Tea Factory applied for the term “Sanhe-branded,” but the Trademark Office approved only “Sanhe.” During the trademark certification process, Wuzhou Tea Factory printed a large number of “Sanhe-branded” packages, which have now become a rarity, much like misprints of banknotes. Sanhe-branded tea bricks are mainly classified by year and weight, with years including 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2003, and weights ranging from 250 grams to 4 kilograms.
