How to Use New Zisha Teaware?

 Through continuous innovation by tea enthusiasts over generations, the phrase "square without a fixed style, round without uniformity" praises the forms of Zisha teaware. So, how should new Zisha teaware be used?

 


 

1. Boil in plain water for at least 1 hour. The specific method is to separate the lid from the pot body, place them in a pot of cold water, set the pot on the stove, and slowly heat to a boil over low heat. Turn off the heat after 1 hour. This step uses thermal expansion and contraction to release the earthy taste and impurities from the pores of the pot body.

2. Place the pot boiled in plain water together with a piece of old tofu into clean water and boil, using the same method as above, for at least 1 hour. This step is called "removing the fire qi," aiming to eliminate the fire energy brought by the high-temperature firing during the pot's manufacturing.

 


 

3. Place the pot from above together with a section of tender sugarcane tip into clean water and boil, using the same method as above, for at least 1 hour.

4. Place the pot from above together with tea leaves into clean water and boil, using the same method as above, for at least 1 hour. Only after completing the above four steps can the Zisha teapot be officially put into use.
