(一) After use, the Yixing teapot must be kept dry inside; do not allow moisture to accumulate.

(二) Place it in an airy location, not in a stuffy area. Do not wrap or seal it after use, even if you consider it precious.

(三) Do not place it near areas with excessive oil smoke or dust.

(四) After use, it is best to place the lid sideways; do not always seal the teapot tightly.

(五) Do not constantly keep water inside the teapot; only add water when it is time to brew tea.

(六) It is best to have several good Yixing teapots. Use one designated teapot for each type of tea leaf. Do not use the same teapot for all types of tea; distinguish them to avoid confusion.

(七) Never wash the Yixing teapot with detergent or any chemical agents, as this will strip away the tea flavor and cause the exterior to lose its luster.

(八) After each use, wipe the exterior dry with a cloth. Then, pour out about two-thirds of the tea leaves, leaving roughly one-third inside. Pour in boiling water two or three times; the rinsed water can be kept for use. Finally, clean the teapot thoroughly.
