Why Should You Drink Pure Ancient Tree Pu'er Tea

First: Safety.

When it comes to what we consume, safety is the top priority. The issue of pesticide residues in various teas has been frequently exposed, and what has been revealed is only the tip of the iceberg.

No matter what tea you drink, there might be some pesticides or harmful substances in it. Environmental pollution is a severe and widespread problem in China. Can tea leaves grown in such an environment remain unaffected? I doubt it!

China is vast, but Yunnan is rare. The first key point is the ecological environment. The places where ancient tea trees grow are even rarer. If you are not someone who makes or loves tea, you might never visit such places in a lifetime—they are too remote and the roads are too difficult. "Liu Lang already regrets the distant Peng Mountain, even more remote than ten thousand mountains." Does ancient tree tea have no pesticide issues? I can only say the probability is very low. First, ancient tea trees have lived for hundreds or thousands of years. The older the tree, the stronger its roots; the stronger the sun, the denser its leaves. They grow well without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Second, local people have more land than labor. Many tea farmers have too many tea gardens to harvest, let alone time to fertilize or spray pesticides. Third, the mountains are high and the roads are dangerous, and water is hard to come by. Even if someone wanted to fertilize or spray, it would be too difficult and unrealistic. Fourth, government regulation. Yunnan's tea industry has the advantage of learning from the mistakes of other tea types. Whether it is the government, tea merchants, or tea farmers, awareness of these issues is strong.

If you are willing to think carefully and analyze the growing environment and garden management of various teas across the country, pure ancient tree Pu'er tea is definitely the first choice!

Second: Nutrition.

Yunnan's ancient tea trees are the ancestors of tea trees worldwide. They are arbor-type large-leaf varieties with large canopies and deep roots that spread widely. Yunnan's soil is particularly rich in various rare trace elements. The logic is simple: a large tree can absorb and store more nutrients from the soil than a small tree. This gives pure ancient tree Pu'er tea a richer nutrient profile and higher health benefits compared to other teas.

Third: Taste.

All tea paths lead to Pu'er, which is known as the last stop for tea lovers. Every beautiful expectation of tea can be experienced and savored in Pu'er tea: tea energy, flavor, tea aroma, water aroma, salivation, returning sweetness, throat resonance... Ancient tea trees are rare, and the wonderful experience they bring to tea lovers is unparalleled. Some people just haven't encountered it yet; others may be too busy on their journey and miss it even when they see it. "Whether you see it or not, it is there, neither sad nor joyful." A tea tree can stand for a thousand years just to win a glance from you. It won't mind waiting for another life or two. It knows that you belong to it, and it belongs to you—it's just a matter of time...

Fourth: Value Preservation.

Every household has a lot of tea, whether bought or gifted. No matter how carefully you store it, over time, you will have to throw it away because it has expired, become undrinkable, or serving it to guests or giving it away would be disrespectful!

Fifth: Appreciation.

Not all Pu'er tea improves with age. Garbage tea will remain garbage even after ten thousand years. Among today's aged Pu'er teas, the most valuable are the "Haoji" and "Yinji" teas. Why have these teas aged so well? Because when they were produced, terrace-planted tea (taidicha) did not yet exist in Yunnan. Terrace-planted tea only began to be widely cultivated in Yunnan in the 1970s. In other words, those Haoji and Yinji teas were almost entirely made from pure ancient tree tea leaves. Today, the number of tea production enterprises in Yunnan is hundreds of times greater than in that period. To meet raw material demands, many factories must blend in large amounts of terrace-planted tea. I cannot say what this kind of tea will become after decades of aging, but based on existing experience, it is clear that pure ancient tree Pu'er tea is far more reliable than terrace-planted or blended teas, isn't it?
