Harvested tea leaves have good absorbency and can easily become damp if not stored properly. The taste and aroma of damp tea are diminished. In this issue, we introduce a good way to deal with damp tea.
Place the damp tea leaves in an iron pan over low heat. Gently stir the tea leaves with a spatula. When the aroma of the tea begins to emerge, quickly remove it from the pan. At this point, the tea is dry and its fragrance is preserved.
Then, pour the roasted tea leaves onto a plate to cool. Once cooled, store them in a dry, sealed container.
It is known that tea contains many aromatic substances, which are best preserved in a dark, wind-free environment. "Gentle roasting over low heat" is the best method for dealing with damp tea, as it effectively evaporates the moisture while preserving the aroma. However, the timing of removing the tea from the pan is crucial.
