In autumn, if you choose suitable tea remedies according to your own constitution, it will certainly be beneficial for enhancing health and strengthening the body. So what tea should you drink in autumn to nourish the lungs? Below are nine recommended health teas.

Yellow Essence Tea

White Fungus Tea

20 grams of white fungus, 5 grams of tea leaves, 20 grams of rock sugar. First wash the white fungus, then cook it with water and rock sugar (do not use soft sugar) until tender; then steep the tea leaves for 5 minutes, take the tea liquid and mix it into the white fungus soup, stir well and drink.

It has the effects of nourishing yin, reducing fire, moistening the lungs, and stopping cough, suitable for yin-deficiency cough. White fungus is a medicinal and edible nourishing product, containing about 10% protein, 65% carbohydrates, and 4% inorganic salts; it also contains vitamin E as well as phosphorus, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, etc. Medicinally, it nourishes yin, moistens the lungs, nourishes the stomach, and generates fluids. White fungus paired with rock sugar can enhance the effects of nourishing the lungs, moistening dryness, and transforming phlegm to stop cough. Tea leaves are added to eliminate phlegm-heat through promoting dampness, and also have anti-inflammatory effects.

Tangerine Peel Tea

3 grams of tangerine peel (red part), 5 grams of green tea. Steep in boiling water, then place in a pot and steam for 20 minutes before drinking. Take 1 dose daily, drink at any time. It has the effects of moistening the lungs, eliminating phlegm, regulating qi, and stopping cough, suitable for autumn cough with excessive phlegm that is sticky and difficult to expectorate. This tea uses tangerine peel to regulate qi and eliminate phlegm to stop cough. Tea leaves have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. The combination of these two ingredients is quite effective for cough with sticky and hard-to-expectorate phlegm.

Radish Tea

100 grams of white radish, 5 grams of tea leaves, a small amount of salt. First wash and slice the white radish, boil until soft, season lightly with salt (do not use MSG). It has the effects of clearing heat, transforming phlegm, regulating qi, and opening the stomach, suitable for cough with excessive phlegm and poor appetite.

White radish is rich in calcium and has medicinal value; it can clear heat and transform phlegm. Paired with tea, it can clear lung heat and resolve damp-phlegm. Adding a little salt both seasons the taste and helps clear the lungs and reduce inflammation.
