Different tea varieties have different tea aromas. When we taste tea, careful study reveals the subtleties and pleasures within.
Waterborne Fragrance
The basic level of tea aroma, waterborne fragrance, is superficial and floating. It can be smelled but not tasted. Its characteristic is that the aroma is released into the air when brewing, and can be smelled on the cup lid, etc. However, once the tea enters the mouth, the aroma drops significantly, leaving little more than bitterness and astringency.
Fragrance Infused into Water
The secondary level, fragrance infused into water. Most of the tea aroma dissipates, while a small part infuses into the tea liquor. The experience is: it smells fragrant, and also tastes fragrant, but not as much as it smells.

Waterborne Fragrance
The intermediate level, waterborne fragrance. A small part of the tea aroma dissipates, while most infuses into the tea liquor. The fragrance present in the tea liquor sinks, partly emanating from the mouth and teeth, and partly from the throat. To experience this, take a sip and hold your breath. After the tea liquor goes down the throat, close your mouth and slowly exhale through the nose, paying attention to the source of the fragrance.
Fragrance Born from Water
A better tea aroma, fragrance born from water. The integration of tea aroma and tea liquor is excellent. It is almost scentless when smelled, but after drinking, the fragrance slowly emerges from deep in the throat and lasts exceptionally long. The mouthfeel of such tea liquor is usually oily and smooth.

Water is Fragrance
The supreme level of tea aroma, water is fragrance. This type of tea must be high-quality Fu tea with superior raw materials, processing, and aging. Its aged fragrance is rich and complex, completely fused with the tea liquor. Wherever the tea liquor flows, the aged fragrance follows. The tea liquor exhibits a wonderful 'transforming sensation' as the aroma volatilizes, giving the beautiful feeling that 'the liquor is the fragrance, and the fragrance is the liquor.' The unique fungal fragrance of Fu tea is formed by its distinctive beneficial probiotic 'Golden Flower' (Eurotium cristatum). This 'Golden Flower' has the effects of nourishing the stomach, strengthening the spleen, regulating lipids, and lowering blood pressure.
