Oolong tea is one of the six major tea categories, with various sub-types. Today, we will introduce some of them.
1. Wuyi Rock Tea
Produced in Fujian's Wuyi Mountains, Wuyi Rock Tea has a plump and tightly rolled appearance with a glossy color and a frog-like texture on the back of the leaves. The leaves are green, sandy green, or yellowish, with red edges and a light green center. This tea offers a rich, mellow flavor with a sweet aftertaste and a distinctive 'rock rhyme.' Dahongpao is the most exceptional variety of Wuyi Rock Tea.

2. Phoenix Dancong
Grown in Guangdong's Chaozhou Phoenix Town, this tea has a robust and curly shape with a light yellow-green color. The tea soup is yellow with a green tint, offering a long-lasting fragrance and a sweet taste even after multiple infusions.
3. Taiwan Oolong Tea
Produced in Taiwan, China, this tea has a copper-brown, curly appearance and an orange-red tea soup with a pure flavor and a strong fruity aroma. The leaves turn red at the edges and green in the center after brewing. Among these, Dongding Oolong Tea from Nantou County is the most renowned and precious.

4. Tieguanyin
Originating from Anxi, Fujian, Tieguanyin is both the name of the tea and the tea plant variety. The leaves are tightly rolled, resembling a hook or a dragonfly head, with a frosted green surface due to evaporated caffeine. When brewed, it releases a captivating floral aroma and offers a sweet aftertaste, remaining fragrant even after seven infusions.
5. Phoenix Shui Xian
This is a strip-shaped Oolong tea produced in Chaozhou, Guangdong, categorized into single bush, Langcai, and Shui Xian grades. It has a natural floral and honey-like aroma, with a rich, mellow, and sweet taste. Mainly sold in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, it is also exported to Japan, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. Phoenix Shui Xian is praised for its beauty, fragrance, and sweet taste, with large, glossy leaves and a clear yellow tea soup.
