Black Tea Is So Amazing, I'm Amazed

Black tea prevents us from catching colds in winter

Professor Shimamura from Showa University School of Medicine stated that gargling with black tea can prevent influenza. Professor Shimamura conducted an experiment dividing 300 students into two groups: one group gargled with tea twice daily, while the other did not. After five months, the tea-gargling group remained largely unaffected by cold viruses. This is because tea contains catechins, which are particularly abundant in black tea. These compounds help inhibit oxygen free radical activity in the body, aiding resistance against external viruses and suppressing tumor growth.

Research proves that black tea at 5% concentration can completely eliminate cold germs, while the black tea we typically drink ranges between 2%-5% concentration. Professor Shimamura detailed the gargling method: gargle once after waking up and once after returning home each day, holding the black tea in your mouth for 15-20 seconds before spitting it out, repeating two to three times. Professor Shimamura noted that besides black tea, green tea also has this effect, with higher quality tea leaves providing better cold prevention, while inferior teas are largely ineffective.

Black tea keeps everyone youthful forever

Over the past five years, the U.S. government has funded over 150 studies on green tea, black tea and their chemical components. Results indicate that antioxidants in green and black tea can completely disrupt the transmission pathways of chemicals in cancer cells. Dr. Murray Mittleman, director of vascular epidemiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, said: "Black tea and green tea have roughly similar efficacy, but black tea's antioxidants are much more complex than green tea's, particularly beneficial for heart health." American magazine reports show black tea's anti-aging effects surpass those of garlic, broccoli, and carrots.

Black tea prevents osteoporosis for everyone

On May 13, 2002, the American Medical Association published a study tracking 497 men and 540 women over more than 10 years, indicating that black tea drinkers have stronger bones. Polyphenols in black tea (also found in green tea) inhibit substances that damage bone cells. To prevent osteoporosis common in women, drinking a small cup of black tea daily shows明显 effects over several years. Adding lemon to black tea enhances bone strengthening effects. Various fruits can also be added to black tea for synergistic effects.

Black tea improves our blood circulation

Recent American medical research also involved black tea. The study found that heart disease patients drinking four cups of black tea daily could increase blood vessel dilation from 6% to 10%. Normally, dilation increases by 13% after stimulation.

Black tea contains multiple nutrients, such as various water-soluble vitamins, abundant trace elements potassium and manganese, and contains a type of flavonoid compound. 70% of potassium in black tea dissolves into the tea when brewed, and potassium enhances heart blood circulation.

Black tea makes us more energetic

Medical experiments have found that caffeine in black tea stimulates the cerebral cortex to excite the nerve centers, promoting alertness and concentration, thereby making thinking responses sharper and enhancing memory. It also excites the vascular system and heart, strengthening heartbeat to accelerate blood circulation for better metabolism, while simultaneously promoting sweating and diuresis. This dual approach accelerates excretion of lactic acid (the substance causing muscle fatigue) and other waste materials in the body, achieving fatigue elimination.

Black tea significantly reduces cancer incidence in the body

The notion that tea has anti-cancer effects is quite popular, and researchers worldwide have conducted numerous explorations. Generally, tea's anti-cancer effects were mainly attributed to green tea, but new developments have emerged. Research has found that black tea, like green tea, also has strong anti-cancer efficacy.

Black tea makes our liver much healthier

Experimental evidence shows that theanine in black tea can absorb heavy metals and alkaloids, precipitating and decomposing them. For modern people facing industrial pollution in drinking water and food, this is nothing short of a blessing!
