 Green Tea Fried Tofu

Ingredients:

1 piece firm tofu, 100g crispy frying powder, 1 egg, 50g water, 1 tsp matcha powder, 1 package bonito flakes

Sauce:

1 tbsp Japanese soy sauce, 4 tbsp water, appropriate amount grated radish

Method:

1. Wash the firm tofu, pat dry, and cut into approximately 1.5cm cubes.

2. Mix crispy frying powder, egg, water and matcha powder until well combined.

3. Pour bonito flakes into a bowl and crush into fine pieces with hands.

4. First coat the tofu from step 1 with the mixture from step 2, then roll in the crushed bonito flakes from step 3.

5. Heat oil in a pan to 180°C, fry the coated tofu until golden brown, then drain excess oil.

6. Serve with dipping sauce made from Japanese soy sauce, water and grated radish for enhanced flavor.
