The Anti-Cancer Effects of Pu-erh Tea

Cancer is a serious common disease that endangers human health and has become a leading cause of death in many countries. Preventing and overcoming cancer is a global topic today. The Kunming Institute of Natural Drugs in Yunnan Province, after more than 10 years of research, discovered that Yunnan green tea and black tea can kill cancer cells, with green tea being more effective.

After comparing the effects of various green teas, it was determined that Pu-erh tea has a relatively strong effect in killing cancer cells. After long-term consumption of Pu-erh tea by cancer patients, cancer cells undergo polygonal contraction and rounding, with reduced pseudopodia, loss of adhesion and migration ability, and even detachment and floating; the remaining cells also become smaller, rounded, and concentrated, with nuclear pyknosis, chromatin condensation or disappearance, vacuoles appearing in the nucleus and cytoplasm, nucleolar pyknosis or fragmentation, chromosomal contraction or mutual condensation, reduced ribosomes, and expansion of mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum; RNA synthesis decreases, and nuclear division stops. These changes prove that cancer cells tend to die under the pharmacological effects of Pu-erh tea.
