Green Tea

Green tea, also known as non-fermented tea, preserves the natural substances of fresh tea leaves as much as possible and is considered the yang within teas. Drinking green tea in the morning helps yang energy rise, refreshes the mind, and aids the spleen and stomach in transforming and transporting the essence of food and drink, thereby nourishing the heart and brain.

Oolong Tea

In the afternoon, yin energy gradually increases, and the functions of the spleen and stomach are somewhat weaker compared to the morning. China has always had the saying, 'Eat well in the morning, eat fully at noon, and eat lightly in the evening.' The midday meal often contains many greasy foods, which can inevitably hinder the transformation and transportation functions of the spleen and stomach, weakening their efficacy. Oolong tea is a semi-fermented tea; drinking it can 'reduce body fat, and long-term consumption makes one lean.' Oolong tea also stimulates the activity of fat-decomposing enzymes in the pancreas, reduces the absorption of sugary and fatty foods, promotes fat burning, and can lower cholesterol levels in the blood. Therefore, drinking Oolong tea in the afternoon has the effect of strengthening the spleen and promoting digestion, greatly benefiting the healthy function of the spleen and stomach and disease prevention and health preservation.

Pu-erh Tea

At night, yang energy turns inward, and qi movement descends. After a day of work, the body needs to nurture the heart and spirit as well as the spleen and stomach, conserving energy for the next day. Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that 'an unsettled stomach leads to restless sleep.' Fermented and processed Pu-erh tea enters the stomach and intestines, forming a protective film on the surface of the stomach, thus providing a protective effect. Long-term consumption of Pu-erh tea can protect and nourish the stomach. Because the caffeine in ripe Pu-erh has weakened effects after years of aging and fermentation, it does not cause excitement after drinking, helping one to fall asleep peacefully and additionally has the effect of tonifying qi and consolidating essence.

When drinking tea, after the tea leaves have steeped and opened, pour the tea soup into a cup. Drink slowly in small amounts each time, avoiding excess. Doing so can make one feel relaxed and happy, with smooth qi movement. This state of mind is very beneficial to health.
