From a nutritional and health perspective, black tea is more suitable for those who are physically weaker, and adding some sugar can enhance its effects. Green tea is better for young people. Scented tea helps soothe the liver, relieve depression, and regulate menstruation. Black tea, tuo tea, and oolong tea aid in weight loss. Green tea has better detoxifying effects, benefiting those with more toxins in their body.

For teaware, purple clay teapots paired with porcelain cups are highly recommended. In daily use, glass cups are the most common, along with stainless steel, enamel, or paper cups. Due to busy schedules, a cup of tea is often consumed in several sittings, and the cup is usually covered to prevent dust. However, this can cause the tea to lose its flavor. Purple clay teapots or cups, being breathable, help keep the tea from spoiling.

The "Classic of Tea" states that mountain spring water is the best, followed by river and lake water, with well water being inferior. Nowadays, we also have tap water, purified water, and mineral water. While premium mountain spring water is the ideal choice, tap water is the most common for the general public. When using tap water for brewing tea, it's best to store it in a clean container for a day to allow the chlorine to dissipate before boiling and brewing.
