Mother Tree Da Hong Pao

There are currently 6 tea trees on the cliff of Tianxin Rock in Jiulongke.

Starting from the first upper tree beside the "Da Hong Pao" stone inscription and numbering in sequence: 4 upper trees numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 (historically called the original), 1 middle tree numbered 5, and 1 bottom tree numbered 6. According to long-term observation, although these 6 tea trees belong to the same type, they are divided into 3 different strains due to individual differences arising from long-term natural hybridization within the Wuyi Caicha sexual population variety.

These six tea trees have pure lineage inheritance and contain energy with extremely high health preservation efficacy.

Trees 3 and 4 mature early, with short internodes, small and long leaves, smooth leaf surface, shallow leaf teeth, and flat leaf edges. When made into refined tea, they show obvious rock rhythm with palm leaf aroma, relatively strong fragrance, mellow and non-light taste, and yellow-bright but slightly dark leaf base.

Trees 2 and 6 mature moderately, with short internodes, small oval-shaped leaves, tender leaf texture, fine and不明显 leaf teeth, flat leaf edges. When made into refined tea, they have relatively high aroma, mellow but slightly light taste, yellow-bright leaf base, with appropriate green leaves and red edges.

Trees 1 and 5 mature latest, with thick and deep leaf teeth, wavy leaf edges. When made into refined tea, their aroma is stronger than trees 3 and 4 but not as good as trees 2 and 6, with similar taste to trees 2 and 6, and yellow-bright leaf base.

By the end of 1985, the asexual reproduction of Da Hong Pao was successful.
